The Statesville Police Department regularly supports students pursuing college degrees in Law Enforcement by granting internships to qualified students. For one semester, a selected student receives a hands-on education in a variety of aspects of law enforcement and the operations of the Department. The student has an opportunity to participate in Patrol activities, work with Investigators, assist in the development of Department projects, and much more.

Potential interns must present documentation from their college outlining the terms of the internship agreement, successfully pass a background investigation, and agree to meet certain terms & conditions set by the Department.
