The following elections will be held for Statesville City Council:
Ward One: Incumbant is Paula M. Steele (4 year term)
Ward Four: Incumbant is Michael Johnson (4 year term)
Ward Six: Incumbant is Flake C. Huggins Jr. (4 year term)
Candidates for Ward One are: John Larue, Kevin Ross, Roy West
Candidates for Ward Four are: Michael Johnson, Sunny Laghari, Ron Moore
Candidates for Ward Six are: Mike Caruso, Flake Huggins, J.D. Williams

GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION
City elections are nonpartison for the office of mayor, six ward seats and two at-large council seats. Each position is for a four-year term.
City elections are held in off-years with the Mayor, 2 at-large Council seats and seats for Wards 2, 3, 5 held one year and seats for Wards 1, 4, 6 held two years later.
The most recent election was in 2009, resulting in the re-election of the Mayor, 2 at-large and three Ward Council members. The next election will be in 2011 for wards 1, 4, 6.
