Welcome to the Statesville Fitness and Activity Center's Fitness Center. This 3,500 square foot fitness center features state-of-the-art fitness equipment with adjacent locker rooms for easy access before and after your work out. The center is equipped with the most advanced fitness equipment on the market manufactured by LifeFitness to allow for a safe, effective, and enjoyable work out.

The cardiovascular equipment features the newest technology available including onscreen iPod compatibility, USB connectivity to create and save your workouts, a virtual onscreen trainer for encouraging feedback, and three real time landscape workout profiles. The cardiovascular area is equipped with four televisions that allow for stereo reception through your personal headphones.
Our resistance circuit line of twelve machines features smart biomechanics and user friendly amenities. The circuit line targets all the major muscle groups of the body while providing for safe and effective exercise.
The free weight equipment is designed for a demanding workout while allowing user comfort and flexibility for beginners or advanced users. We offer a variety of benches, racks, and dumbells ranging from 5 pounds to 150 pounds to accommodate any exercise routine.

Fitness Center Orientations

Ready to get started exercising, but not sure where to start. Try a fitness evaluation of body composition, sit-ups, push-ups, and sit and reach tests that will give you a better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses. Hit a plateau? Want to take your workout to the next step? This advanced assessment will test body composition, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibiliity, and strength. Get a print out that shows the areas where you need the most improvement to help you kick your workout up a notch. Please schedule an appointment in the fitness office. This service is $10 for members.
Free Weight Orientation
Do you want to start using free weights but are unsure of the proper way to lift? Let one of our barbell club members show you the basics of free weight training and help you develop a routine. Please schedule an appointment in the fitness office. This service is free to members.
Four hour certification course for 11 to 13 year olds to allow use of the fitness center. The course focuses on health and wellness, proper exercise training, and fitness center etiquette. Participants must attend all sessions and pass requirements to obtain certification to have use of the fitness center. Course is offered monthly and days and times vary. Please check with the front desk staff or the fitness director for information on upcoming Youth Fit classes.

Do you need an extra push, a little motivation, a kick-start to your exercise regimen? Our personal trainers can assess your current fitness level and routine and develop a one-on-one workout program to help you achieve your goals.
