In a special presentation on Oct. 19, Statesville Police Chief Tom Anderson pledged his department's support in working with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to prevent domestic violence.
The SPD administrative staff stood shoulder to shoulder as their Chief announced a year-long initiative to work on this problem. Patti West of My Sister's House, a local women's shelter for victims of domestic violence, and her staff were also on hand to share information.
